World of Warcraft - A New Players Thoughts

Coming from an extensive MMO background I come to WoW with hopes of something that has been lost in the current MMOs. Just a brief history. I started playing EverQuest back in the day when leveling wasn''t the most important. Neither stats, race, or equipment mattered. It was all about having fun, exploring/questing and for the most part socializing. I think that WoW brings all of these back into the world of MMOs. Yes there will always be those hardcore people out there who want to become as powerful as Arthus himself but it is my opinion that WoW has reopened the door. Here is a quick break down so not to bore you. Mainly I am writing this to practice writing, boredom, and just to share an opinion.

Fun - How can this game not be fun. At first I thought the game was retarded looking from the screenshots that I saw but I think that they designed this game perfectly. Sticking to the looks of WC III was probably the best idea ever. It is so fun to see all these giant Tauren walking around and let''s not forget the hilarious looking gnomes. I love those gnomes hair choices by the way. You can do just about everything by yourself. Probly the first TRULY balanced game that easily allows anyone to solo. There is much more to this section that I could put but no need to talk your ear off.

Exploring/Questing - Like I said before my favorite aspect on this subject is how you can easily play any class/race and still be able to quest and explore on your own. The world is so beautiful. One of my favorite ways to see the world is no doubtably flying. It is amazing that you can fly from one pleace to another and still see everyone playing. Best of all NO LOADING ZONES!

Socializing - This game truly puts 2 diverse groups against each other. In all other MMOs except a few crappy ones you can alloy yourself with an evil necro even if you are a Paladin of Truth or whatever. WoW bring a sense of loyalty and it makes working with your faction more rewarding. Take this story for example. A group of mine were heading to Wailing Caverns when we see a level 43 Human fishing in our Territtory. At first we were scared since we were all level 20 or below but then I started to arouse our group into killing this Alliance member. How dare he fish in our Barrens. So we rally up and before this guy knows whats hit him he has 4 brave Horde member throwing everything in thier power to destory this intruder. Luckly with the help of my Wing Clip ablility his running only carried him so far and needless to say we stopped him in his tracks.

These are only a few things on why I think WoW is so great. More to come as I get more bored! By the way I have been playing a week today.
